EVL (employment verification letter) is a helpful piece of evidence to attach; this evidence bolsters any financial claims you may have made in your application related to your financials and income- especially for the purposes of sponsorship. EVL's are issued by employer's and generally contain useful information about your employment as shown in below example.

You can usually obtain from the HR or your manager; most large organizations also have some automated facility that you can avail for this.
